Description
SUMMARY:
Robowind’s robotics engineers design prototypes build and test robots and systems that accomplish wind turbine blade maintenance tasks. They also conduct research to find the most cost-efficient process to manufacture the robotic systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop recommendations for the automation of turbine blade maintenance processes
- Lead the design and delivery of proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate viability in operational environments
- Lead hands-on and non-hands-on training sessions in the use of automation tools and best practices for delivery of robot-based maintenance solutions
- Install, or support the installation of, software and tools in operational environments
- Participate in the development of technical and operating models for robot implementation
- Analyze process automation requirements and design of automation solutions, architecture, and logic
- Configure and test automated processes prior to deployment into operational environments
- Participate in testing and revision of automated processes
- Develop and assure documentation according to Robowind standards, best practices, and operating procedures
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building Robotic Process Automation using MATLAB or Python
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development and engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team, as well as independently
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
- Certified developer in MATLAB, SolidWorks, and Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
